José Mourinho stated that Diego Costa was available for Saturday's Premier League match against Queens Park Rangers Saturday (04h:00). The co-top scorer (9 goals) was absent during
the last two days due to hamstring injury and a virus.
Spanish international striker Diego Costa, who has missed the last four games due to a hamstring injury and a viral
infection, is available, said Jose Mourinho at a press conference Today, José
has indirectly disapproved Costa’s International Selection for their last
match, ‘I am always supportive of players playing for countries, when the
players are in condition to do it and when the players in the national teams,
they follow the same kind of programme to recover from the problems they have,’
he added.
‘Everyone knows the time Diego was
having problems at Chelsea and the way we managed to keep him playing, and then
after the national team we lost him for four matches in three different
competitions. Now he is available again but he needs obviously to be again
under special care and we are going to do that, it is the only thing we can
do.’
He claims Costa has a
hamstring problem, while Spain's National team doctor Juan Jose Garcia said it is a groin issue: "This time he didn't say anything about the hamstring. When Costa
arrived to the International team he said that he had a minor hassle in the
groin but nothing important. He probably has played with it before for Chelsea
and he didn't complain anymore about it during the international duty. He
indeed was treated by the phisios (like every other player) and didn't have any
limitation to make the exercises," Garcia Cota said to IBTimes UK.
Ramires joins the squad too after a muscle injury sustained during the match at
Manchester City in September, Loic Remy remains out. The manager anticipates he will be back from his groin injury after the international
break in mid-November. John Mikel Obi also misses the QPR game due to a small knee problem that troubled the
Nigerian in the win at Shrewsbury.
Adel Taarabt
otherwise we note the QPR's superstar
return Adel Taarabt, who was excluded from the first team
for disciplinary reasons, he could finally be part of the Staurday Game at Stamford Bridge, His coach Harry Redknapp, who had accused the midfielder to have
extra pounds, announced Thursday. The hatchet is buried!
About the Derby, Mourinho said there a lot of derbies in London and that this one it won’t be that easy : ‘Everyone knows London is a
special place because of derbies. There are always about eight or 10 derbies a
season which makes it unique, and makes the London teams have more difficulties
than others because a derby is always a derby.’
