Jose Mourinho's Wish Has Been Granted By The UEFA - Paris St-Germain vs Chelsea

Chelsea will play Paris Saint-Germain in the first knockout round of the Champions League...

The tie is a repeat of last season’s quarter-final (You can watch the highlights below) but this time Jose Mourinho’s side has progressed. We also met in the group stage in 2004 and in Mourinho's first Champions League game as Chelsea manager won 3-0 in Paris. And this time also we can see in their side David Luiz who moved there in the summer. PSG are now second in Ligue 1, behind Marseille.

Chelsea club secretary David Barnard stated that all the teams in the daw are there by merit and PSG are no exception. Obviously they are known to Chelsea because The Blues played them in the quarter-finals last year, he added : ‘Each match that comes along is a totally different scenario with different parameters.

‘There is the added ingredient of David Luiz playing for PSG, who is fondly remembered by us for the Champions League final in 2012.

‘Jose Mourinho said before the draw he would like to see PSG for our supporters because of the travel arrangements and the logistics.’, which makes now the UEFA the Santa Claus of Mourniho, he would probably do better if he asked for a Ferrari...

The UEFA Champions League last-16 draw is out! It’s a nightmare for Manchester City FC, but it could have been worse for Arsenal and Chelsea Football Club

The full Round of 16 draw is:

Paris St-Germain v Chelsea
Manchester City v Barcelona
Bayer Leverkusen v Atletico Madrid

Schalke v Real Madrid
